Beryl Bytheway

Having started as a conventional quilter, being taught so much by a group of experienced quilters from all over the USA and Canada during my 9 years as a winter resident of Arizona, I have subsequently moved into making quilted wall hangings. Back in my early days I couldn't see the point of making a quilt which didn't provide comfort and warmth, but that was before the concept of "art quilts" was introduced to me when I attended the Arizona Quilters' Guild annual exhibition - what an eye opener that was! Now we no longer winter in Arizona but I am fortunate to have a dedicated craft room (the third bedroom of our bungalow!) and I make quilts for Project Linus. I recently made some quilted postcards during 2020 Lockdown for friends to remind them of some fun we had shared when we were able to meet up.
